OUR FARMERS
I’m a coach’s wife, former soccer mom, football mom, and now a proud grandmomma, with a long career behind me in corporate America and higher education. Coach and I have three beautiful children and two precious granddaughters — who make our hearts sing.
At home, we’re ruled (happily) by Apollo, our rescue lab/hound/Heinz 57 mix, who loves long walks, treats, and lots of attention. Coach’s dream is to someday add a couple of pet donkeys to our farm, lovingly named Jack and Ass — because, in his words, “they’re a lot more fun to talk to than a bunch of lettuce!”
ABOUT DUE WEST OF DIDDLY SQUAT
When we first moved to Due West, everyone warned us the most common question we’d hear would be: “Due West of what?” Well, we figured it out — “Due West of diddly squat!”
We fell in love with this community, and a few years ago, when we discovered aeroponic farming and committed to making healthier food choices, we knew we wanted to share this journey with our friends, neighbors — and now, with you.
Our little farm, just outside of Due West, specializes in growing highly nutritious leafy greens and herbs inside our greenhouse.
Instead of growing in soil, we use aeroponic towers — a fancy-sounding but truly amazing technology. Aeroponic farming is innovative, sustainable, and healthy: the roots of the plants are suspended in air and misted with water and earth minerals. We never use chemical herbicides or pesticides, and aeroponically grown produce is packed with more nutrients than traditionally farmed crops.
Our leafy greens are freshly harvested, chemical-free, and delicious — good for your body and good for your family.
